Read, write and update Turff from the chat

Questions to try

Marques

  • “How did our wholesale do last month by territory?”
  • “Which of my stores haven't ordered in the last 30 days?”
  • “Show me the current key account programs and their status.”

Détaillants

  • “What actions are open for my stores this week?”
  • “How do my prices on top products compare with nearby stores?”
  • “Which promotions are running at my stores right now?”

What cannabis teams use the connector for

One sentence in, real work out. Each of these runs on your live Turff data, inside the territory your login can see.

Sales reps

Plan the week from the chat

“Which of my stores haven't ordered in 30 days? Put the closest five on Tuesday's route.”

Your assistant finds the quiet doors in your territory and builds the route in Turff.

Sales reps

Log the visit before you start the car

“Add a note to this store: the buyer wants the new pre-rolls next order. Make Sam the buyer.”

The note lands on the store's timeline and the contact is updated for the whole team.

Sales managers

Coach from the scorecard

“How is each rep tracking on this quarter's scorecard, and who's behind on visits?”

A rep-by-rep read of the scorecard and activity, scoped to the reps you manage.

Sales managers

Draft a SPIFF in a sentence

“Draft a SPIFF for new listings of our vapes in Ontario this month.”

A draft SPIFF waits in Turff for you to check and activate.

Key accounts & marketing

Programs and events without the forms

“Show our key account programs and their status, then draft an event for our top Toronto stores.”

Programs read back live, and the new event is saved as a draft for your team.

Sales leadership

The monthly read-out, written for you

“Summarize last month's sales by province and channel, and what changed.”

The executive sales report's numbers, explained in plain language for the deck.

Store managers

Start the week with the to-do list

“What actions are open for my stores this week?”

Your stores' open actions, which you can add to, update or dismiss from the chat.

Retail buyers

Check prices and promos against the street

“How do my prices on top products compare with nearby stores, and which promos are running?”

A store-by-store price comparison and the promotions live right now.

Brand teams: the connector works on the same records as the Turff CRM, so a note or route you make in the chat is there in the portal.

How to connect Turff to ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot

Setup takes about two minutes, and you only do it once.

Before you start

  • A Turff login: the one you use for the portal, Google or Microsoft sign-in included.
  • A workspace with the connector switched on. Not sure? Ask your Turff account manager.
  • An assistant that allows custom connectors: paid Claude plans, or ChatGPT with Developer mode. On a company account, your admin may need to allow custom connectors first.

Connector address

Détaillants

Claude

  1. 1 In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
  2. 2 Name it Turff, paste your connector address and click Continue.
  3. 3 Click Connect, sign in to Turff and click Authorize.
  4. 4 In a new chat, click +, then Connectors, and switch Turff on.

ChatGPT

  1. 1 In Settings, then Security and login, switch on Developer mode.
  2. 2 In Settings, then Plugins, create an MCP app named Turff, with your connector address as the server URL and OAuth as the authentication.
  3. 3 Sign in to Turff and click Authorize.
  4. 4 In a new chat, click + and select Turff.

Copilot

  1. 1 Your IT admin adds Turff once for the whole company, in the Microsoft 365 admin centre. Email [email protected] with your company name and your admin's contact, and we'll send them what they need.
  2. 2 Then each person turns it on in Copilot and signs in to Turff the first time.

Then ask “What workspace am I in?” The answer should name your company.

What your assistant can see

Only what you can see in Turff
Each person signs in with their own Turff login. If you only see your own territory in the portal, that's all your assistant sees too.
Drafts, not changes
Programs, promotions, campaigns, events and SPIFFs are saved as drafts. Nothing goes live until someone on your team opens it in Turff and activates it.
Every request is logged
Each request is logged against your Turff account.

Turff connector questions

Which AI assistants work with the Turff connector?
Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, with Grok coming soon. The connector is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so any MCP-capable assistant can connect.
What can my assistant read?
Ventes, distribution, prix, inventaire, magasins, objectifs et plans, extraits en direct dans la conversation et limités à ce que votre connexion vous permet de voir.
Can my assistant see data I can't?
No. Each person signs in with their own Turff login, and the assistant follows the same role and territory rules as the portal.
Can it change anything in Turff?
It drafts programs, promotions, campaigns, events and SPIFFs for your team to activate, and updates stores, accounts, products, contacts, notes, visits and routes when you ask. Drafts stay drafts until someone on your team activates them in Turff.
How long does setup take?
About two minutes, and each person does it once. For Copilot, your IT admin sets Turff up once for the whole company.
Do I need to be technical to use it?
No. You ask in plain language, the way you'd ask a colleague, and your assistant picks the right Turff data to answer. Setup is a copy and paste of one address.
Does it work for retailers as well as brands?
Yes. Brand teams connect to their brand workspace and retail teams to their stores, each with its own connector address and the same sign-in.
How do we get the connector?
It is switched on per workspace. Book a demo and ask us to switch it on for yours.
